To All Who Crossed Paths with Itsue
Since our final show on October 25, 2015, Itsue has been on an indefinite hiatus, but as of September 11, 2022, we will formally disband. It has been almost seven years since entering our period of hiatus, but even now, knowing that so many people have encountered our music brings us great joy. Hoping in some way to show our gratitude to everyone, our final act will be to make our previously unreleased demo of “Goodbye, Maboroshi” available on streaming subscription services.
Although the possibility of Itsue resuming activity was up in the air these seven years, we never mindlessly left it that way. At the time, the four of us did not have the energy to continue on. We thought that after some years, were our circumstances to change and the day came where we could deliver music in an even better form, the four of us would stand on the stage again. In the seven years since then, however, after considering our current lives and circumstances, we came to the conclusion that it would be difficult to devote ourselves to Itsue, and difficult to create new music. For those who were looking forward to when we might resume, we’re very sorry, but we hope you understand.
Itsue’s music will persist. With a final story called “Goodbye, Maboroshi,” Itsue will disband. We would be happy if you keep it close in your lives from here on out, too. Thank you very much for crossing paths with us. Goodbye.
