"Steampunk" is a fashion style that combines Victorian-style clothing, which is popular in Europe, especially in the UK, with gears and other mechanical parts. He also wears
"jumping stilts" (long, jumping stilts attached to rubber springs)
and parades around in an original costume that resembles a half-body robot, making him a walking and statue artist who creates his own unique worldview together with the audience.
【スチームパンク】とは?
SF作家＜K・W・ジーター＞が＜ティム・パワーズ＞や＜ジェイムズ・P・ブレイロック＞等の作品群を表す用語を探して【スチームパンク】という言葉を用いた言われているこれらの作品はいずれも19世紀を舞台としていて実際のイギリスのヴィクトリア朝のスペキュレイティブ・フィクションの雰囲気を真似ているそのため【スチームパンク】はヴィクトリア朝やエドワード朝の雰囲気がベースとなっている世界観でありその世界観の中にSFやファンタジーの要素を組み込んでいるヴィクトリア朝の人々が思い描いていたであろうレトロフューチャーな時代錯誤的テクノロジーまたは未来的技術革新を登場させ同時にヴィクトリア朝のファッション文化、建築スタイル、芸術を描くスチームパンク的テクノロジーとしてはH・G・ウェルズやジュール・ヴェルヌの作品にでてくるような架空の機械があり他のスチームパンクの例としては飛行船、アナログコンピュータ、機械式計算機といったテクノロジーを歴史改変的に扱うものもある時代としては1980年前後が勃興期であり1980年代から1990年代初めごろまで特に人気を博しその後もSFの1サブジャンルとして定着し現在に至るWhat is 【Steampunk】?It is said that science fiction writer ＜K.
